Let your 4-12 year-old kids' imaginations run wild by creating their Perfect Pets. Our favourite pets will feature in After School Club's Perfect Pets book series.

From much-loved family pets to animal mash-ups and crazy creatures, kids will love getting creative with pencils, felt-tips, paints and more to create their masterpieces!

Plus, there are great prizes up for grabs including animal sponsorships, creative craft goody bags and £1,000 for the club that sends the best set of drawings!

You can post your kids' entry forms or scan them before emailing or uploading them. Entries must be on the Perfect Pets entry form which you can download and print from this page.

We cannot wait to see your kids' perfect pet pictures!

[Rules] =>

Open to 4-12 year-olds.

Only one entry per child, there is no limit to the number of entries per school or club.

Open to schools, clubs & independent entrants in the UK.

Work must be submitted on the Perfect Pets A4 entry form.

The entrant's name, age and address must be included with their entry.

Pets can be real or imaginary.

Any art materials can be used.

Entry forms can be posted or scanned then emailed or uploaded.

Prizes For Children

The best Perfect Pet drawing will become the book’s title and front cover. The artist will receive a goody bag full of creative supplies which are sponsored by Staedtler!

PLUS a sticker for every entrant. Children selected for publication also receive a certificate!

What happens now?

Our editorial team will read every single entry. Any child whose work they'd love to publish in a book will be sent a letter and certificate. Children whose work hasn't met the competition criteria will have the chance to resubmit their work. Winners will be chosen from published pieces once all the books in the series have been published.
