This brand-new drawing competition invites your pupils to draw and colour an Incredible Invention. A homework-helping robot, a snack delivery system, a time-travelling bicycle… the possibilities are endless! Whether it’s wacky, wonderful, or world-changing, we want to see their most exciting ideas brought to life on paper. If they can dream it, they can draw it, so let your class's imaginations run wild.

Pictures chosen for publication will be published in a full-colour book, so get out the colouring pencils and pens for a colour explosion. Check out this handy checklist before entering to ensure your pictures have the best chance and look fantastic in the book. 

There are fantastic prizes up for grabs with the top artist in each book winning a mega Smiggle pen pack, and their drawing will also feature on the front cover.

So sharpen those pencils and fire up those ideas - it’s time to invent something incredible!

• Entries MUST be scanned for upload/email or the originals posted. We cannot accept photos of entries. Download our guide for scanning options. 
• Only one entry per pupil. 
  
• There is no limit to the number of entries per school. Teachers please submit your entries together where possible! (Use one Teacher Entry Form for each teacher entering).
• Ask your pupils to draw on the entry form. It must fit in the space provided. 
• Entries must be the child's own work - no AI-generated images please!
• Any labels or descriptions must also fit in the space provided.
• Ensure their name, age and school name are included.
• UK entrants only.
• Free to enter.
• Open for 4-18 year-olds.
• Copyright remains with the artist.
