Brain Swap challenges 7-11 year-olds to write a poem from someone else’s point of view and gives them the very exciting opportunity of being published too!
Who (or what) intrigues or inspires your pupils? From their idol or pet, to an object or person from history, Brain Swap throws open the doors to creativity and originality, ensuring you have engaged, enthusiastic children that can’t wait to get writing!
It's a fun activity to use in class or home learning. Use the downloadable worksheet, or children can write / type their poem instead.
To make sure your entries are valid, please follow the rules listed below:
Ask your pupils to write their poem, ensuring their name, age and school name are included
Only one entry per pupil, there is no limit to the number of entries per school.
Where possible, the school to send / upload / email all their pupils' entries to us
Poems can be on the worksheet or an A4 sheet of paper or typed.
Poems must be your students' own work.
Independent entries are welcome - please provide your home address details instead of the school's / use the independent entry form.
