Creative Writing Competition
5-7 Years
Your child is invited to create a superhero or villain, inspired by real-life pets or favourite animals, then write a story about their amazing adventure in up to 250 words.
Will your child's hero be a courageous cat or a brave badger? Perhaps they'll go with a villainous viper or sneaky stick insect! What superpowers will they have? Your child will love the freedom of creating their very own super pet, and will be reassured by the familiar superhero theme.

To make sure your entries are valid, please follow the rules listed below:
One entry per person.
Ask your child to write their story (or an adult can scribe/type it), ensuring their name, age and full home address are included.
Your child's story can be on the entry form or an A4 sheet of paper or typed.
Your child's story must be their own work!
250-word limit.
UK entrants only.
Open to 4-7 year-olds

Every entrant receives a bookmark and sticker. We award a certificate of merit to all young writers chosen for publication.
(Winners will be chosen from entries received in the Autumn Term 2023 and independent entrants are eligible to win. The prize will be sent in the following term. Goody bag image is an example, contents may vary.)
