The Poetry Bus Video

Let's fuel your pupils’ imaginations with poetry...

The Poetry Bus is here to engage and motivate your little learner to write their very own poem. Be inspired by a book, the seasons, friendship... there’s lots of choice to ensure getting your child writing poetry is easy and fun.

It’s National Poetry Day on 7th October 2021 and the theme is “Choices”... Often younger children get overlooked at this event, but The Poetry Bus complements this fantastic annual event as your child can choose to write a poem in any style or theme, giving them the opportunity to be involved and help foster a life-long love of poetry.

You'll find lots of free resources for you to download here, including a handy parent info guide to explain how to take part, an engaging video and3 different poetry-type activity sheets to help support your child to write their poem.
