Open to young writers aged 4-11, Poetry Stars gives your child the freedom to write a poem about anything that inspires them, in any style they choose.
Funny, imaginative, thoughtful, descriptive or completely unexpected, there are no set themes, giving every young poet the chance to express themselves and create something they’re proud of.
Your child can be inspired by any poetic style, such as:

To make sure your entries are valid, please follow the rules listed below:
- Only one entry per person
- Your child's work can be on the entry form or an A4 sheet of paper or typed. (An adult can assist!)
- Please include your child's name, age and full postal address on their entry
- Your child's work must be their own
- Poems can be on any subject & in any poetic style
- Copyright remains with the author
- Free to enter
- UK entrants only
