Future Voices invites poems on any theme and style, making it easy for 12-18 year-olds to write poetry as there are no constraints!
You can be inspired by any poetic style, such as:
✏️free verse
✏️rhyme
✏️sonnet
✏️sonnet
✏️narrative poem
✏️acrostic
✏️acrostic
✏️haiku and tankas
From current affairs or identity, to conservation or your favourite thing, Future Voices lets students delve into bigger issues or be lighthearted, giving freedom to express themselves through poetry, how they want to.
Future Voices is open all year round, so there is always a real audience for you to write for and a platform to share your voice.
How To Enter
Please ask your parent/guardian for permission to enter before you do!

To make sure your entries are valid, please follow the rules listed below:
- Only one entry per person
- Your work can be on the entry form or an A4 sheet of paper or typed. (An adult can assist!)
- Please include your name, age and full postal address on their entry
- Your work must be their own
- Poems can be on any subject & in any poetic style
- Copyright remains with the author
- Free to enter
- UK entrants only
