‘Shiver’ written by Maggie Stiefvater is the first in a series of four books, in which a young girl is passionately interested by a pack of wolves living in the forest near her home. There is one wolf in particular, with ‘unmistakable yellow eyes’, to whom Grace is inexplicably drawn. When she meets a teenage boy with startlingly similar eyes to the wolf, Grace's previously mundane life becomes a breathtaking tale entwined with life-long friendships and a secret which could, if in the wrong hands, could shred Sam's only chance to experience lasting joy.
