A Final Falling Feather
My claws hurt but I can't stop. I carry the legacy of dodos on my wings. I must continue running. I feel the adrenaline rushing through my veins as I zip through the towering trees, but that's when I see them... Arrows zip through the leaf's pointy tips, gleaming. I glance back and see flashes of feet diving through bushes. They are gaining. I flap my wings. Why are they sticky? Suddenly, the pain hits me and I stumble through the bushes. I am losing blood, fast. I come to a stop and close my eyes. It's over now...
