Meet The Team - Molly, Customer Care Advisor

Molly is a key part of the team offering help and support to all of our wonderful writers

Introducing the fabulous Molly, she brings the smiles and the helping hand to all of Young Writers and helps get stuck in with queries and all of your questions!

Can you tell us what you do here at Young Writers?
I am a member of the Customer Care team here at Young Writers. My daily duties include answering emails and phone calls from parents and teachers who need assistance. I also get to help out our editors with printing off and processing entries. It’s nice to be able to do a range of different jobs and help the team out in areas I can.

Tell us about yourself, your hobbies, what do you like to do outside of work?
In my spare time, I like to spend time with friends and family. I love my weekend trips away eating out in restaurants and socialising. Quality time spent with loved ones is the best. I love my holidays too, chilling on a nice beach or by the pool. That’s my idea of heaven.

What’s your favourite thing about Young Writers?
I really love hearing how proud our parents are when their child has been selected for publication. It’s a very special thing and a lovely keepsake for parents to have and look back on in the future. We are currently in the process of developing a “Wall of Fame” for our office and it’s really lovely to see all of the parents sending in photos of their children posing with their published work and their gleaming faces.

What is a typical day in the life of yourself?
My work days are pretty active. I walk to work every day ready for the 9am start and I get straight into answering emails and phone calls. When I’ve completed my tasks, I then move on to the entries: printing these off and passing them to the Data team to be processed. I also sometimes go down to Despatch to post orders, paperwork, etc which is always fun.

What's your favourite book/author of all time?
In all honestly, I don’t read that much. My reading days kind of slowed down after studying A Levels. I did, however, read a book called “The Kite Runner” by Khaled Hosseini when I was 16. It’s based on a true story and was very compelling. I did manage to read the whole book from start to finish as well, which I never really do so it was a good one. Worth the read!

What's the best thing you've worked on here at Young Writers?
I enjoy giving information to our customers about the new products we have introduced like our toolkits and our Spag Monsters game. The Young Writers toolkits are very cool for children/young adults who are interested in getting their own work printed. They give young people further avenues to explore their creativity. I haven’t worked on anything directly but have enjoyed learning about all of our new products/services and providing further information about these to our customers.
