“13 Woodman House”
Do you ever hear voices? I do...
It was the 13th of November, 1983. 13 Woodman House... "It must be here," I muttered. I stood outside the caliginous wood. The prodigious trees towered over me, conveying warning. I inhaled several immense breaths before persevering into the unknown. Lightning struck, illuminating the sky, and I noticed a shadow lurking in the distance. "Who's there?" I called. But there was no response.
Finally, I reached the dilapidated house. Tenaciously pushing the door open, I heard a scuttling of footsteps. Stepping inside, I felt a single splash of blood fall expeditiously onto my forehead. Proceeding to a mirror, I gingerly removed a layer of thick dust. Staring into it, a shiver ran down my spine and my knees buckled, causing me to plummet to the ground. A juvenile girl, dressed in a torn white dress which was stained with blood, stood in my presence.
"Mummy, come here, Mummy."
As I hesitantly turned around, she grabbed hold of me, leading me into an empty room. Locking the door, her intense resentment escalated until she could barely contain her belligerence. "Dolly does not like visitors, visitors make Dolly very angry." Her hands closed around my throat, choking me...
Then I woke up. Reaching into my pocket, I revealed a crumpled piece of paper. It stated: '13 Woodman House, the home where nightmares become a reality. Dolly is expecting a visit from you, Lottie'.
