Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow is the first book in a series by Jessica Townsend, published by Hachette Children's Group.
It's about a girl called Morrigan who escapes her hometown where everyone hates her to the magical land of Nevermoor, where she takes part in trials to get into the Wundrous Society.
But the stakes get higher as someone's animosity tips off the police that Morrigan was smuggled into Nevermoor illegally and the only way to dodge the law is to get into the society!
It's an amazing book that's just the right length for younger kids and has a brilliant plot twist at the end.
I give this 5 out of 5 and recommend it to anyone who loves fantasy. It's hilarious, intriguing, and magical you should give it a read!
