This month Everybody Writes Day is being held on the 21st October. Are you or your school celebrating this day? If so why not send us your work by the 4th November and have the opportunity to be one of our top ten poets, featured on our dedication page, and also win a book title.

Meet Millie

Last year Young Writers worked with Amber, who kindly sent in a blog each month about her experiences of being home-schooled. Amber is now off to secondary school and will unfortunately no longer be writing for us. We are now pleased to announce that we have a new blogger and children's book title reviewer, Millie! Ghost Stories Competition

 
To celebrate Halloween this year on 31st October we are inviting you to write a ghost story so frightful that it would have Stephen King shaking in his boots, or so funny you could give Scary Movie a run for its money. Each entrant will have the opportunity to be published and one lucky winner from each publication will receive a family ticket to either the Edinburgh, London or York Dungeons!
