Teens of Today Spending Too Much Time Online

Encourage them to spend less time on their computers

A recent case study showed that 60% of teens find it hard to make new friends; this has been blamed on the amount of time they spend on the internet, gaming and watching T.V.

Claire Tupholme editor of Wordsmith says 'With a technology dominated world we need the teens of today to broaden their horizons to more than the computer. Offering young adults the chance to express themselves whilst promoting active engagement in writing and reading, Wordsmith could be the answer were looking for.'

Launching its brand new Pen Pal section of the magazine in the next issue, to encourage young adults to make friends without the internet, Wordsmith really could help with the future of our teens.

Aimed at 11-18 year-olds the magazine is fun and interesting for the reader whilst being educational and beneficial, improving their confidence in writing at school and at home.

'At such an impressionable age it is important for young adults to know there are others who are interested in reading and writing too,' added Claire.

Wordsmith is a quarterly magazine which is available from Young Writers. Normally priced at £16 per year (4 issues) the price is reduced to £12, saving you over 20%. For more information or to place your order either call 01733 890066 or visit www.youngwriters.co.uk/Wordsmith.
