School Children Aim to be Best Selling Authors
Children from St Werburgh's CE Primary School aim to set up a business to showcase their literacy skills and also become best-selling authors.
After some of the children entered a Young Writers' creative writing competition last year and they were published in an anthology, St Werburgh's came up with a great idea on how to publish their pupils' stories as paperbacks, e-books and podcasts.
To help raise the money for this idea and to encourage more children to write, the school has now entered the competition Class Act, sponsored by Barclays Money Skills. The £5,000 prize will all go towards the equipment and the printing costs for this new venture if St Werburgh's wins.
Soon St Werburgh's could be offering your school the chance to have your own customised digital books!
