It was a day in the summer holidays and there was nothing to do,
PlayStation and hide-and-seek got boring, I needed something new!
I racked my brains, thought hard, then an idea came to mind,
I will go on a treasure hunt to see what I can find!

As I looked through the house for something of interest,
I came across a flyer that looked more exciting than a test.
If I wrote a short story, and sent it away,
I could win a laptop, and then I would always have something to play!

So I wrote about my treasure hunt that took me far and wide,
About the crocodiles and the pirates from whom I had to hide.
My story was great, and writing it was fun,
So get your pens out, write your story, and send it off when it's done.

Win a laptop!
