Developing a Child's Mind in Creative Writing

Key tool to encourage learning

Every parent is aware of the importance of developing their child’s ability within literacy to ensure their best chance in later life.

Primary schools across the UK act on this by teaching each child basic levels of English, grammar, spelling and spoken word. To further their abilities outside the classroom homework is given to each child, but is this enough?

Could parents assist and encourage their child’s ability to help them thrive in their learning?

Educational learning resources are available for parents to purchase but many of these are not created with the child in mind. Many parents find that the resources they think would be beneficial actually do not engage their child.

Scribbler! the leading educational writing magazine for 7-11 year-olds, overcomes this. The magazine engages children by providing fun but educational material to work with.

At Scribbler! we work hard to develop workshops, games and competitions that are both educational and fun. We keep up to date with the National Curriculum and what children find interesting to ensure we engage them whilst improving their literacy.” Donna Samworth, Scribbler! editor.

A yearly subscription is 4 issues and is usually priced at £16, though Scribbler! can be purchased online for a discounted rate of £12, saving parents 20%!

Notes to Editors

Scribbler! magazine was created in 1999 with the aim of improving and encouraging literacy skills in 7-11 year-olds. We work to engage children's imaginations with a fun-filled magazine that also compliments the national curriculum. Packed with interviews, puzzles, competitions and workshops that inspire children, Scribbler! can also be used as a learning resource by parents and teachers.
