What is Rhyme?

A rhyme is when two words sound the same when spoken.

Examples of Rhymes

Bright and night

Day and sway

Thought and bought

Rhyming words don't have to be spelt the same to be classed as a rhyme

Two and do

Would and hood

Pause and laws

Rhyme is used in poetry to help the poem become interesting. Rhyme is used to help create a pattern within a poem.
