The Northern Children's Book Festival and Gala

The Northern Children's Book Festival 2011 -Dream a Little Dream, the biggest children's book event in Europe, will be held over a two week period from the 7th - 20th November. Throughout these two weeks authors, poets and illustrators will be visiting schools and libraries in the north east to take part in book signings and workshops. Although these sessions will be closed to the public a gala will be held on the 19th - 20th November and is open to the public to enjoy.

At the gala there will be the opportunity for families to meet their favourite authors and talk about the books they love. Over 40 well-known writers, poets and illustrators will be attending the festival to perform book readings, lead workshops and take part in book signings.
