Young Writers Mini Saga New Adventures competition is now open!

The competition is a great classroom activity for pupils, it gives them a chance to be part of a creative writing experience; from writing their mini saga to the chance of seeing their work in print. I am sure your pupils will find it inspiring and fun.

It's easy to take part...

  • Encourage your pupils to write a mini saga in 50 words on any theme, idea generator available
  • Each entry needs to be completed on our entry form (these can be printed and photocopied)
  • Send a completed school entry form along with your pupils' mini sagas to the freepost address

Benefits of the competition...

  • Develops writing and creative skills.
  • Mini sagas can be on any theme, but must be a maximum of 50 words.
  • Supports Key Stage 3 Learning objectives.
  • Supports Every Child Matters ' Enjoy & Achieve' Outcome.
  • Mini sagas are selected on the basis of imagination, expression and writing ability.
  • Selected mini sagas are published in a regional anthology.
