The best nursery in the series wins £1,000 - the prizewinner is announced later in the year.

All nurseries who participate in the competition by sending in entries will receive a free copy of the anthology for their region. If over 100 entries are submitted they will also receive an additional free copy. All participating young writers receive a Free Gift, those who are selected for publication receive a Certificate of Merit and winner's medal to mark their achievement.

Rules

• Poems must have the contact information section completed
  
• Poems must be written on one of the template entry forms which can be downloaded below
  
• Only one template per child may be submitted - but there is no limit to the number of entries per nursery
  
• Poems must be the child’s own work
• Selected poems will be published in a regional anthology
